On the 7th of November 2011, Girls’ Generation’s third full-length album, “The Boys”, managed to surpass 100, 000 in album sales.
Girls’ Generation’s album was released on the 19th of October, and in just 17 days, has sold more than 100, 000 copies of the album. The third album did fantastically well, and just on the 6th of November alone, sold 7,364 albums.
From the 31st of October to the 6th of November, “The Boys” sold 24, 398 albums.
This is a remarkable feat as Girls’ Generation’s previous albums have never passed 100, 000 albums in sales this quickly. Girls’ Generation’s previous full-length album “Oh!”, took 28 days to surpass 100, 000 albums in sales, and the 11 days difference shows that Girls’ Generation is indeed getting more popular.
